What's New

Whoa! We haven’t posted anything since January. Sorry. We have had a very full and busy season of weddings this year starting with Bridal Fantasy back in January and we haven’t looked back. It was truly an amazing and humbling endeavour to have our flowers featured on the cover of Bridal Fantasy magazine 2014 issue. Check out the cover below! Thank you to all the guys and especially the gals at Derk’s Menswear & Formals! You’ve made our year! We are also happy to report that we have booked several weddings for 2015 already, so if you haven’t booked a consultation with us already, do it quick! P.S. Thank you to our fabulous gal Nicola for showing you how crazy it has been!DSC_0680PicMonkey Collage

Lorraine Mansbridge from Global Edmonton was at Derks Formals on an early morning in September, showing us what’s in store for the upcoming Bridal Fantasy Fall Edition. Laurels’s On Whyte was on hand with some picturesque bouquets. We featured a very cool ombre look that is really creating huge trends in the wedding industry and beyond. We were also featured with the lovely Stacy Foley of JoyFoley Weddings and beautiful gowns from Crystal’s Bridal. The creative team from MUD Salon were on hand to give the guys and gals a totally decked out look. Oh the excitement and spontaneity of morning television!

In January, we visited the NYIGF in New York City. This was an amazing show … and very overwhelming! With so much to look at and see, it was almost impossible to pick out gifts for our store that everyone would love. But we managed to find a few gems! See them drop into our store this month. Some gorgeous candles, decor items and bodycare including a line called Library Of Flowers by the makers of our popular TokyoMilk Dark! Should be awesome!

Another gorgeous find is our Casa home fragrance. Completely made in Canada, these room sprays, soaps, reed diffusers and soy candles will be a perfect addition to any decor. The packaging is simple and colorful but the product is neutral so any fragrance will match your home “colors”. Our favorite so far is Oak and Moss.

We’ve also got tons of little trinkets and things too! We’ve included an additional page on our website for inspiration. It’s under the Curiosities section. Oh … almost forgot! We opened 1,700 sq. feet of gift ware in our basement which we like to call Laurel’s Curiosities. You must come in and check it out!

We wish everyone a warm and wonderful winter solstice and until next time!
